SAS in Leaders Quadrant of Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools

20 Aug 2012: SAS has been positioned in the Leaders quadrant in Gartner's latest Magic Quadrant for Data Quality Tools. The company's SAS DataFlux data management technology was evaluated on a number of criteria, including functionality, integration, ease of use, customer support and product road map.

Gartner describes leaders as companies that "demonstrate strength across a full range of data quality functions, including profiling, parsing, standardisation, matching, validation and enrichment. They exhibit a clear understanding and vision of where the market is headed, including recognition of non-customer data quality issues and delivery of enterprise-level data quality implementations. Leaders have an established market presence, significant size and a multinational presence, directly or as a result of a parent company."

SAS recently announced that the company has fully absorbed its DataFlux subsidiary in an effort to bring the brand closer to its core business. The company recognises the strong opportunities within the information management market and believes this move will allow it to fully capitalise on opportunities by leveraging both companies’ technology and resources.
