Allies Computing launches free customer data testing service

Allies-Computing-launches-free-customer-data-testing-service

25 Sep 2012: Allies Computing, developer of WorldAddresses and PostCoder address lookup software, has today announced the launch of a free data audit service which enables businesses to indentify inaccuracies in their customer data. In 25 years in the address management industry, Allies has found that, on average, 59.4% of its customers’ databases are inaccurate, and in some cases, this figure can reach up to 98.6%.

Emma Gooderham, Managing Director of Allies Computing, commented: “Customer data is typically collated from a range of sources, such as social media, contact centres or the sales team; the sheer breadth of potential channels often resulting in multiple errors and duplications. The costs therefore incurred through inaccurate data are far reaching and the repercussions of unsuccessful deliveries and incorrect details on marketing materials could have longer term effects, causing customers to take their business elsewhere as a result of the poor service.”

Businesses using Allies’ free data audit service will receive a report of their existing customer data which will outline what percentage of the records are accurate, with the remainder categorised as inaccurate. Allies’ data cleansing service can then apply this information to improve customer address data, with various pricing options; consequently, businesses can benefit from greater business efficiencies and enjoy savings through successful first time deliveries to the correct recipient.

Gooderham concluded: “Customer address data is a valuable company asset which must be maintained in order to maximise its full potential. Our free data audit is a tool by which businesses can assess the value they currently gain from their data and, if this is found to be deficient, we can offer a data cleanse by which they can improve it. Our audit enables businesses, regardless of budget, to capitalise on the data they have at their finger tips.”
