Working closely with colleagues in RAPP Media’s List Broking team, the Data Planner will be responsible for providing effective data planning and analysis which will ultimately help achieve our clients’ marketing objectives. The Data Planner will be responsible for identifying both current and future strategic opportunities and presenting these solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities will include:
• Evaluating client needs and making recommendations to both the client and internal list broking colleagues.
• In association with colleagues, developing client plans.
• Preparing client forecasts, campaigns and annual plans.
• Creating and executing analysis such as list history, seasonality, contact strategy and other projects.
• Preparing and delivering both verbal and written presentations to support plans and recommendations.
• Identifying business development opportunities within existing clients.
• Developing a full understanding of industry developments and competitor activities through market research.
We are looking for an individual who has previous experience working within a direct marketing environment, ideally with exposure to client circulation, list analysis or consulting. You will have a high level of statistical and analytical competence, and ideally your degree (or equivalent) will reflect that (Mathematics, Statistics etc). You must have excellent Excel skills, and knowledge of statistical applications such as SPSS or SAS is helpful. You will enjoy and be experienced in working with data. You ability to analyse, evaluate and use this data for successful planning will be crucial.
Aside from your technical and data capabilities, we will need to see that you are able to work well as part of a small team, will cope well under pressure and be able to manage heavy workloads. You will have excellent client facing skills.
